The HX 250R was Hero's first quarter-litre sportbike, developed with help from Erik Buell Racing and shown as a flagship aimed at rivals like the Honda CBR250R. It has a liquid-cooled fuel-injected single, a six-speed box, disc brakes at both ends and optional ABS. A US launch through EBR's dealers was floated alongside Indian production.
